Quik and easy way to backup a DVD using Free DVD Shrik with Free DVD decrypter
with DVD Shrink ( to rip just the main movie ) and DVD Decrypter ( to remove Copy Protection)
I'm using Toy Story as example movie
download DVD Shrink and
DVD decrypter
You may have to search
Google
if the link to DVD Decrypter doesn't work
or this google url -
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0.exe&btnG=Google+Search
or you may find it here - http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/
also try here http://100-downloads.com/
once these two programs are downloaded and installed on your computer ...
go to your My Documents folder and make a new folder (if one is not already there) name it My Videos
a file of the DVD will be stored there...
Then put the dvd in your DVD drive and open DVD Shrink
in this order ...click
1 - Open Disc the movie will preview while loading
2 - Re-author - then drag Title1 over into the big box on the left
this will bring just the main movie in to be burned
3 - Backup!
4 - Select backup target: - ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter™

5 - Select target image file: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Videos\TOY_STORY
Click OK DVD Decrypter will open ...

6 - Destination - Select the drive to write to ....
7 - select the Write Speed - it is set at MAX by default - depending on your system don't be in a hurry ( I like 4X )
if writing to another drive continue... if not, here is where you remove the disc and put in the blank disc to burn to
8 - click the green arrow
button
walk away and let it burn !
a target image file will be stored in the My Videos folder
if you want to come back again and burn the movie at again at a later time
this does take up a lot of space .. you may want to delete the files of the movie from the My Videos folder when finished
