Columbiana County Career and Technical Center Recycling Program

The Workforce Readiness Program at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center has established a drop-off recycling program. John Garwood, Workforce Readiness Instructor, is working with his students to collect, bale and market recyclable materials. The program has purchased a vertical downstroke baler for baling aluminum cans, cardboard and newspaper. The bales are sold to processors where they are used in the manufacturing process.

The CCCTC Recycling Program will collect office paper, newspaper, cardboard, and aluminum cans. The collection site will be open from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month from September through May. The dates for 2005-2006 are:

  • Thursday, December 15, 2005
  • Thursday January 19, 2006
  • Thursday February 16, 2006
  • Thursday March 16, 2006
  • Thursday April 21, 2006
  • Thursday May 18, 2006
