When To Fish
Moon
The peak of both a full and a new moon is definitely a factor worth considering. Fishing during the daily rise or set of the sun and moon during key monthly moon phases is important.
When fish are feeding infrequently and sporadically, an opportunity of three to four days right after the actual moon peaks, may be the only time that the fishing will be good.

Sun
Most fish shy away from sunlight and are most active with dim conditions and on light rainy or overcast days.
On sunny summer days, fish generally feed best at daybreak and dusk, spending midday along drop-offs close to feeding areas.
On low cast days, try fishing right up close to cover.

Temperature
A cooler wind during the night, can cause fish to hang tighter to cover. Warm nights, compared to the day, offers good fishing opportunity.

Wind
Strong winds in from the East or the North East, Fish usually feed the least.
Light winds in from the West or the South West, Fish usually feed the best.
